Finally Trying Colourpop.

Colourpop Costmetics, Colourpop Creeper, Colourpop Tulle, Colourpop Avenue

If you’re like me you would have been over the moon when Colourpop was finally available for delivery to the UK. So a little while ago myself, Chloe, Helen and Amy all took advantage of the deal for free UK shipping and shared a delivery, this helped split the cost of customs which was about £20. After many an hour scouring the inter-web looking at swatches I finally decided on three shades of their liquid lipsticks to try, Creeper, Tulle and Avenue.

Firstly the one thing I noticed was the colours in the tubes looked different to what I was expecting. Then when I swatched them they looked different again. Take creeper, for example, looking at swatches online it looked like a very orange toned red, similar to lady danger by MAC. But in reality its a much more ‘classic red’ shade – more like Ruby Woo. Tulle online looked a lot pinker toned than it is, I was hoping to use this as a general everyday shade. However, I think its a little too dark and not as pink toned as I was hoping. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a lovely colour, it’s just not what I was expecting. Out of the three colours, I think Avenue is the one that was most similar to what I was expecting if anything it wasn’t as dark as I was expecting it to be. But a perfect dark red wine shade lipstick.

I thought I’d best include some images of the lipsticks worn by me, as I found the images of the shades online a little different. On the left, we have Creeper and Avenue on the right. I don’t have any photo’s of me in Tulle as I do feel it is a little dark for me, I still keep trying but I just can’t seem to get it to work.

Have you tried Colourpop yet, what products would you recommend?
