Now I’m the type of person who when it comes to jewellery it’s all or nothing. I either have really big bold statement necklaces and earrings, or super small and dainty jewellery. It’s rare I go for anything that’s kind of in the middle. So when Jewellery box got in touch asking if I’d like to try some of their pieces I thought this would be a great chance to try something different. But typical me I opted for my usual dainty bits of silver jewellery as they had so many beautiful pieces it was daft to choose anything different.
I had a browse through the website and picked a few bits of jewellery I liked – this was hard as there were so many beautiful pieces. I sent over a little list of what I liked that fit with my style so they could choose from them to send me a couple of pieces. I was totally blown away by their generosity when my parcel arrived in the mail and they’d sent me all of the items. I really wasn’t expecting that so it was a lovely surprise and super generous of them.
Looking in my jewellery collection I have a lot of rings that are quite chunky and contain stones and embellishments and are quite bold. But because all of my rings are like this I’m restricted how many I can wear without looking like Mr T. For ages now I’ve been after some simple dainty silver rings to accompany them and have always failed at finding any that I liked. But along came Jewellery box and saved my life with these beauties! I opted for the sterling silver spiral ring which is amazing as its adjustable so you’ve the option of wearing it on different fingers. Along with the sterling silver hexagon ring and sterling silver T-bar ring both of which are really simple and are perfect for accompanying my bigger chunkier rings.
Dainty silver necklaces are some of my favourites to wear when you have those outfits where you need a little something to break up the neckline but don’t want to wear a super chunky bold piece. I opted for the arrow necklace and the origami pendant necklace to add to my collection and I’ve barely had them off since then. They’re just so easy to pop on and add a little something to a simple outfit, without much effort.
When it comes to earrings again a lot of the ones I own are quite chunky, which makes them really uncomfortable to wear to bed. So more often than not I’ll wear a pair of earrings, take them out on the evening and forget to put any in again for about 3 months. So I’ve been after some simple silver earrings that I could comfortably wear to sleep in – with the hope it’ll get me back into the routine of wearing earrings again. Seeing as I work in retail and blog about clothing I thought these tiny coat hanger studs were perfect for me. They’re super dainty and just so damn adorable – I can’t get enough of them. I let my slightly nerdy side come through when I chose these little dinosaur studs because how could I resist? THEY’RE DINOSAURS! I’m actually obsessed.
