Veil Cover Cream: High Coverage Camouflage Foundation

Veil Cover Cream: High Coverage Camouflage Foundation

If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the hunt for the perfect foundation offering incredible coverage without being heavy. A few months ago I was invited along to an event in Middlesbrough as an introduction to Veil Cover Cream. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend as it was a little too far for me to travel on a weekday evening. However, the ladies at Veil were kind enough to send me a sample of their product to try at home and see what the fuss was about.

Veil Cover Cream, Tattoo cover, high coverage foundation, cruelty free

Veil Cover Cream isn’t like your usual drugstore foundation, it’s a high coverage camouflage make-up which offers long-lasting coverage for a range of imperfections. As I suffer from a sensitive strip across my nose and cheeks, as I’ve previously mentioned, I am prone to redness. This is the one area I’m always after a little extra coverage.

Because Veil is specifically for use on skin imperfections like birthmarks, rosacea and other skin pigmentation, I felt this would be the perfect product to help reduce my redness. Plus with a wide range of different shades, you’re able to custom blend the perfect shade to fit your skin tone, something I struggle with from the high street as I am crazy pale.

I was sent a sample kit to try, within this I was given small samples of a range of their shades along with two setting powders in a translucent shade and the shade dusk. As always I opted for the palest shades in the kit, one with a yellow undertone and another with a pinker undertone. I chose to give the shade vanilla a go as I felt cream was a little too yellow for my colouring.

The key to this product is to use thin layers and build it up. You must believe me when I say a little goes a long way! It took me a few tries to get the right amount without going overboard with the product, but I eventually got there. Because Veil Cover Cream claims to cover tattoo’s I decided to give this a go on mine to really test the coverage. Holy moly it worked amazingly! I wasn’t expecting it to cover my tattoo as well as it did, but low and behold it looked like I didn’t have any tattoo’s at all.

Priced at £19.99 for 10g Veil Cover Cream is priced around mid-range, but given how little of the product you need to use you really do get a cost per wear. One good thing about this product is you can order a sample kit if you’re unsure of what your shade might be, a perfect way to try before you buy.
