It’s official, I have fallen in love with a jacket and I don’t know if I can survive without it in my life. This Zara faux leather biker jacket popped up on my radar recently and it’s inspired me to create some springtime outfits featuring pops of pink. If you can’t tell already I’m a huge lover of stripes and its my favourite pattern to team with statement jackets and this striped tee would look perfect teamed with a cream pinafore dress, these silver platform trainers and this super sparkly cross-body bag for a fun spring time look. Now whenever I’ve worn stripes I’ve always…

Now its been almost been two years since I was last a student, although I swear it was more like two minutes ago. But I still enjoy having a good night out on a budget. When I was at Uni I did the whole ‘going out out’ thing, partying with my housemates and rolling home at 4am with little memory of what happened that evening. I loved that time in my life, but after a year or so I grew tired of it and now find so much more pleasure in going for a night out to a restaurant for…

At the end of last week I popped along to Intu Metro-Centre with Rachel and Laura for the Style Garden Event. No photographs I have taken can do this event justice for how truly beautiful it was. I felt like I was at the worlds best garden party filled with beautiful brands, beautiful people and beautiful clothes. The event was in collaboration with House of Fraser and featured a huge selection of different beauty brands such as Decleor, Kiehls, Creme De La Mer and Murad. Plus a huge selection of clothes handpicked from stores within Intu Metro Centre itself. On arrival we were…

Last week I was lucky enough to be selected alongside Amy, Chloe and Laura to attend an event at the newly refurbished The Body Shop in Eldon Square for an evening of beauty, pampering and of course a little bit of shopping too. I really enjoyed that there was only four of us at the event, as it allowed for a really personal one to one experience where you really felt looked after. We each started at a different area of the shop, I started at make up where I was introduced to a few of the new The Body Shop make-up products. I’ve never…

As I mentioned in my little ‘Life Update’ post last week, I’ve recently moved into a new flat with my boyfriend. Over the past month we have slowly been trying to get the flat as homely as possible. Slowly adding little touches here and there , I must admit we still have a lot of work to do, however theres a few areas of the flat that are already coming together quite nicely.  There is no doubt about it, our little book nook is my all time favourite part of the flat. This little cove is based at the back…

If you read my last post you will have seen that I’ve had a mini hiatus due to computer difficulties. But you’ll be happy to know I am writing this post via a brand new iMac and I am officially back online!  I feel like I’ve not been around properly for ages and ages, so I thought I’d give you a little update on what I’ve been up to over the past few weeks. Even though I haven’t been blogging as much as I’d like, I’ve still managed to attend a few blogger events. I always find that in the…

Guess who’s laptop is broken? Well sort of broken – basically my old little Macbook Pro’s card reader  have decided to stop functioning, which as you can imagine makes photo upload a little tricky. Annoyingly i’ve a chunk of photos to upload and posts to write which are now going to have to wait until my new computer arrives, so I thought i’d take this opportunity to update you all a little on whats been going on in my world. One: If you didn’t already know my boyfriend and I recently moved into our own flat – you can read…

With International Woman’s day being this week, the internet has been full of motivational posts, women supporting other woman and general girl love. Which has been amazing and I’ve really loved seeing so much positivity within the female community. But it really got me thinking as much as the support of other women can help with your self-confidence, you’ve got to support yourself first, and for me my body image is the biggest thing thats stopping me right now.  I’m going to be honest, body image isn’t really something thats affected me too much until the past 18 months or…

Hello, My name is Alice and this month I am addicted to buying books. I don’t need anymore books, I have a bookshelf full of books to read – but low and behold here I am buying more! I’ve always been a big book fan, however the past couple of months I’ve gotten really into books again (I tend to go through phases) so have ended up buying quite a few over the past month. So I thought i’d share with you some of the books I’ve picked up recently. The Story of Alice This book was originally recommended to…

If you know me at all you’ll know I am a huge lover of food. I think I’ve gotten to that age now where I’d happily choose a nice meal out and a few cocktails over an evening clubbing, so as you can imagine I was over the moon to be invited along to the press launch of a brand new restaurant opening up in Newcastle. I love trying new types of food so I was excited that Newcastle would adding Turtle Bay, a Caribbean restaurant full of jerk spices and gorgeous rum cocktails to the restaurant list. When we…

Last week during my first #TheGirlgang Twitter chat, one of the questions was about something your readers wouldn’t know about you from reading your blog. I found this so interesting and it basically turned out we are all just shy little nerds bouncing about the inter-web. This particular question got me thinking about all the bits and bobs about me that you don’t know, which again falls perfectly into my aim to make my blog filled with more me. One I’m a huge fan of thrifty shopping and I could happily spend a whole day rummaging around charity shops! Theres…
