Now as I mentioned briefly in this post, I am moving house at the start of next month. I had previously moved out, when I was at university, into a shared house with a group of my friends in my second year. However after graduating in 2014 I moved back in with my parents where I have been ever since.  At the end of august Lee moved into my parents house with me so we could save up for a deposit for our own place. At the start of December, the week of our two year anniversary in fact, we…

One of my aims for my blog in 2016 is to make it more personal and more about me. Yes theres the side of me that loves make up and clothes and that will always be a big part of my personality. But deep down I’m also a huge ‘nerd’ who adores books, art, cheesy emo music and so much more. So today I thought i’d start introducing some book reviews onto my blog. I’m that person loves buying books but doesn’t always have the time to read as many of them as i’d like. But I am trying to…

Whilst in town last week I decided to pop into Lush for a quick nosey around and to sniff everything. I’d been in store after Christmas in the hope to bag some of the sale items however hardly anything was left so I left the store and didn’t think anything of it. I had just picked up myself a new comforter bubble bar and a intergalactic bath bomb where I spotted an array of beautiful candy pink items on the sale table and practically sprinted across the shop floor.  THEY HAD SNOW FAIRY!  I pretty much grabbed what I could…

A while a go now I was invited along to the Station Hotel in Town for an evening with American skincare brand Murad. I must admit I didn’t know all too much about the brand, I’d recognised the name after hearing it mentioned on youtube and the likes. But that was pretty much my knowledge on them. At the event we learnt that it all began, and how founder and dermatologist Dr Howard Murad noticed a gap in the market whilst treating patients and began devising skincare that answered to real problems his patients faced.  At the event we were given the chance…

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year, I really enjoyed being able to have a good chunk of time off work and be able to relax without feeling guilty about it. But now its January which brings all the ‘2016 Goals’ and ‘What I Got For Christmas Posts’ which are my absolute favourites to read – hello miss nosey. I did consider doing a ‘What I Got For Christmas’ post, however my bedroom is currently full of cardboard boxes and i’ve packed a lot of my bits and bobs away as I’m moving next…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!  I hope you are all having a fantastic day and stuffing your face with as much chocolate as your body can handle. I thought today would be the perfect opportunity to show you all my new favourite “not christmas-y but still festive-ish” jumper dress courtesy of George for their #jumpindresses campaign. As somebody who is a big fan of both jumpers and dresses (this is pretty much all my wardrobe consists of right now) i’m not really sure why i’ve never tried combining the two and worn a jumper dress before. WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING WITH MY…

When I was contacted by Luxemme asking if i’d like to choose an item and feature it on my blog my first thought was “Shit i’ll have to take photo’s of myself” – something that I haven’t felt comfortable doing in about a year and a half now. But then I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to push my limits and step out of my comfort zone, somewhere I really enjoy remaining inside. Plus with the christmas season fast approaching I felt this would be the ample opportunity to grab something for all these thousands of christmas parties…

Anybody who knows me will be aware that I love quaint little cafe’s and coffee shops. The individuality of them, getting to know the staff and not to mention the range and variety on their menus. I’d happily pick that over a pumpkin spiced latte and a ham and cheese toastie any day of the week. So when I was asked by Talented Talkers and Travelodge to write about my favourite places in Newcastle I jumped at the chance to feature a handful of my favourite spots, and believe me it was hard to pick only a few. Curious Leaves…

A few weeks ago now I travelled down the road to Whitley Bay Caravan Park to spend the day with Rachel, Rhi, Laura, Alison and Craig for a mini “bloggers holiday” organised by the gorgeous Beca. Now Whitley Bay is my local beach, so the caravan park isn’t somewhere I was likely to visit before. So spending the day there was a great way to spent a rather warm October day.  The park itself is in the perfect location of just being on the border between North Tyneside and Northumberland, with the freedom to travel up or down the coast…

Believe it or not over the last decade I have gone from hating coffee in every single shape or form, to being a fully functioning coffee addict. Starting my coffee journey off drinking uber chocolatey mochas, which truthfully taste more than chocolate than anything else. To now being in a position where I enjoy tasting a range of different coffees with different undertones and flavours. Yep, not all coffee tastes the same. Now i’ve always tended to buy my coffee from the supermarket and I can never seem to get my coffee at home to taste as nice as when…

Images nabbed from Rhi As I mentioned in my last post, i’ve recently attended a few blogger events recently that have re-kindled my love for blogging. Theres nothing quite like being in a room full of bloggers to get you motivated again. The event has to be one of my favourite I’ve attended in a very long time, hosted by the babes Rhi and Fiona, this was a book swap! I’d attended a clothes swap back in the summer which I really enjoyed. So as soon as I heard there was a one with books I just had to get…

So you’ve probably noticed i’ve been pretty quiet over the past three months. Saying that I seem to have had an influx of new followers regardless. So hello to you guys, welcome! Its nice that you could stop by. Now the rest of you might have been wondering where the hell i’ve gotten to? Well do not fret I am still here, I’ve just been working constantly for the past three months.  Back in June I finally started my new job, having had to wait months for my checks and my references to go through (please don’t mention references to…
