TEETH WHITENING WITH WHITE WASH LABS: NANO

Whitewash Laboratories Nano: Intensive Teeth Whitening Strips Hello, my name is Alice and I am a tea addict. Because of this, my teeth aren’t as white as I’d like them to be #firstworldproblems. So when Whitewash Laboratories got in touch asking if I’d be interested in trying some of their products, I couldn’t resist. In the past, I have dabbled a little in whitening products but have always been a little wary of damaging my teeth. You often hear stories about teeth whitening strips making teeth more sensitive and generally not being that good for them. So why did I…

LUSH NEWCASTLE: HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS SHOWCASE

Now I’ve been a huge lover of Lush for as long as I remember. One of the first blogger events I went to was a Lush event back in 2013. So when Lush Newcastle announced they were hosting a blogger event I jumped at the chance to go. This event was to promote the launch of the new Halloween and Christmas range – and we all got the first glimpse before the shop was open to the public. On arrival we were all greeted with name badges, fruit juice and a range of Vegan pizzas that had been generously supplied…

Cruelty Free Skincare: My favourite Lush Products

I’ve spoken previously in posts about switching products over to cruelty free beauty and makeup products. But I must admit my vanity took over a little and I found myself still buying products that had been tested on animals. Then back in July, something changed.  After a weekend spent watching Netflix documentaries, I decided I couldn’t carry on the way I was and I finally made the decision to become vegetarian with the intent to be fully plant-based eventually. I’ve begun making little changes in my lifestyle and I no longer eat meat or fish, I drink plant-based milk 90%…

Finally Trying Colourpop.

If you’re like me you would have been over the moon when Colourpop was finally available for delivery to the UK. So a little while ago myself, Chloe, Helen and Amy all took advantage of the deal for free UK shipping and shared a delivery, this helped split the cost of customs which was about £20. After many an hour scouring the inter-web looking at swatches I finally decided on three shades of their liquid lipsticks to try, Creeper, Tulle and Avenue. Firstly the one thing I noticed was the colours in the tubes looked different to what I was expecting.…

Christmas Stocking Fillers

Christmas is fast approaching and I can’t contain my excitement! I’d like to say that I love Christmas but I find Christmas day itself quite dull. I much prefer the prep and hustle and bustle beforehand. The shopping for presents, finding the perfect gifts and then getting to wrap them up all beautifully ready to pop under the tree. Not everybody finds Christmas shopping as fun and easy as I do, so today I thought I’d help you out with some little gift ideas for my favourite part of Christmas. Stocking fillers! I’m not sure what it is about stocking fillers…

My Five Favourite Everyday Lipsticks

Only You, Cannes, Mehr, Nude-ist, Tea Rose When it comes to lipsticks I seem to be all or nothing, its either vibrant reds, deep maroons or nude and natural, I tend not to stray in between. I like what I like and I stick with what I know. So today I thought I’d share with you my five favourite lipsticks for everyday wear. As you can see there’s a common colour running through these five, but I’ve finally found a nude colour that suits me as my lips are naturally quite pigmented so typical ‘nudes’ make me look ill. Although…

Urban Decay Masterclass

At the beginning of the month, I was invited down to Debenhams to an Urban Decay masterclass event hosted by Ellefluence. I was really excited about this as I’ve never had a chance to really try any Urban Decay products, but they’ve always been something I’ve lusted towards. So this gave me the perfect opportunity to learn more about their products – and get some ideas on what to pop onto my Christmas list. The main purpose of the evening was for the Urban Decay Newcastle staff to show us how they would take a daytime look into the evening,…

Five Reasons Why I Love The Body Shop Vitamin-E Range.

ONE It smells amazing, simple as that. There is just something special about the smell of this range that sends me head over heels for it. The smell instantly relaxes me as soon as I smear my face with the cream cleanser. The cleanser just smells like clean. Its soft, a little floral and reminds me a little of baby powder. The perfect way to revitalize me in the morning and also relax me in the evening. TWO It leaves my skin feeling incredible! There are few cleansers that as soon as I rub them on my face my skin…

New In: Pretty In Pink

As I mentioned in my sulphate-free shampoo post last week I’m trying to make the effort to buy more cruelty-free beauty products when I can. So I thought today I’d share with you a few products I’ve picked up recently. This all started with an NYX counter finally arriving in Newcastle and the whole thing just escalated. The one NYX product I’d been dying to try was the matte lip creams, as I’d heard so many amazing things about them. After much deliberation, I opted for the shade ‘Cannes‘ which is the perfect rose nude type colour. It’s that typical ‘Kylie…

Sulphate Free Shampoo.

When I changed my hair at the start of April I was made aware by my hairdresser about how certain shampoos can be bad for dyed hair. I’d always used shampoo for coloured hair but it turns out they’re not always as good for coloured hair as you think. Over recent years the dangers of sulphates in shampoo’s has become more apparent and sulphate free shampoos have become more popular and readily available. Since then I began researching sulphate shampoo’s and was shocked at how many specifically for coloured hair contain them, especially as sulphates actually make hair colour fade…

Intu Metro Centre: Style Garden

At the end of last week I popped along to Intu Metro-Centre with Rachel and Laura for the Style Garden Event. No photographs I have taken can do this event justice for how truly beautiful it was. I felt like I was at the worlds best garden party filled with beautiful brands, beautiful people and beautiful clothes. The event was in collaboration with House of Fraser and featured a huge selection of different beauty brands such as Decleor, Kiehls, Creme De La Mer and Murad. Plus a huge selection of clothes handpicked from stores within Intu Metro Centre itself. On arrival we were…
