One of my aims for 2015 was to be braver with my appearance, as over the past year and I half I have really struggled with my confidence about how I look. For years i’ve had the problem of a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear, i’d pick up clothes I liked but was never able to put them together with other items in my wardrobe. Too many clashing patterns and colour and generally quite muddled about my personal style. But since I have gained a little extra weight over the past two years, this has gotten even worse as I am no longer comfortable in the types of clothes I used to be, and I am a lot more self conscious about what suits me now, especially since dying my hair ginger.
So i’ve decided to keep it simple, simple colours like black, white and grey and let my hair do the talking. For the past year I have been using the L’oreal Feria in Intense Mango Copper which for me is the perfect ginger colour, not to purple not to dark. Just pure glowing ginger. But with it being a new year and all I started considering considering trying their brighter ginger shade, Paprika Power. I um-ed and ah-ed over it for weeks and happened to mention it to my boyfriend one day when we were in Superdrug, and low and behold I left the store with two boxes of the dye.
So here it is, my new colour (and cut thanks to East Terrace) a little shorter and brighter than I am used to but I absolutely love it! Now i’ve got my bright hair sorted I just need to work on my wardrobe and fingers crossed i’ll be brave enough to get some outfit posts on the go.
