Discovering Murad [AD]

A while a go now I was invited along to the Station Hotel in Town for an evening with American skincare brand Murad. I must admit I didn’t know all too much about the brand, I’d recognised the name after hearing it mentioned on youtube and the likes. But that was pretty much my knowledge on them. At the event we learnt that it all began, and how founder and dermatologist Dr Howard Murad noticed a gap in the market whilst treating patients and began devising skincare that answered to real problems his patients faced.

At the event we were given the chance to have our skin analysed under a specialist camera to see what our problem areas are, and what they might become in the future. I was surprised to see my skin was in pretty good condition, bar some congested areas which i’m always trying to work on. I also loved to discover I wont really end up with a lot of wrinkles – win win for me!

After our consolation we were offered a facial treatment, something i’ve always avoided as I thought having a stranger stroke and rub my face would be my idea of hell. How wrong was I!? I opted for a chemical peel, which sounds a lot scarier than it was, to try and help with my congested areas of my skin and remove dead skin for a silky smooth face. I swear to got my face has never felt so amazing before, I just couldn’t stop stroking it. For days afterwards I still had an amazing healthy glow which my skin has never ever had. Total facial convert.

If you’re around the Metro Centre why not pop to the Murad Counter in The House Of Fraser’s new spangled beauty hall, you’re in for a treat. I’m definitely going to pay a visit and get myself another facial treatment.
