Guess who’s laptop is broken? Well sort of broken – basically my old little Macbook Pro’s card reader have decided to stop functioning, which as you can imagine makes photo upload a little tricky. Annoyingly i’ve a chunk of photos to upload and posts to write which are now going to have to wait until my new computer arrives, so I thought i’d take this opportunity to update you all a little on whats been going on in my world.
One: If you didn’t already know my boyfriend and I recently moved into our own flat – you can read a little about the chaos here. But basically we’ve now been in our little place for just over a month now, which has flown by, and we have settled in rather nicely. Bar a few little tweaks, like adding some artwork onto the walls to liven them up a little and disguise the magnolia, we finally have it looking how we want. I’ll be doing a little flat tour soon – just have a few little tweaks before I get snapping. But if anybody has any posts on homeware, house updates or even little home projects, sent them my day, I really want to try and update the flat as best I can on a budget.
Two: I’ve recently had two weeks off from work and as much as I love my job, it was so nice to just sit and relax and not feel guilty for doing nothing. I always find when I’m working during the week my days off feel so rushed as I’m trying to get as much done as possible and I always feel bad if I have a lazy day. So it was really nice to potter about, catch up on some tv shows, do the chores i’ve been avoiding and curling up with a good book in our little book-nook.
Three: I’m really getting myself organised when it comes to blogging, I sat down on one of my days off and planned out loads of content and i’m slowly getting myself into a schedule (typical my laptop decided to bugger up just after this) but with my new computer arriving on Friday I should be able to get into the swing of things again. With me working mostly two days a week now I’m going to focus my other days a lot more on blogging, which i’m really excited about. Getting myself into a routine on my days off and treating them like a normal working day, i’ve been finding my productivity levels increasing and i’m loving it!
Four: I’ve joined the gym! If you read my last post you’ll know i’ve been struggling with my self image a little recently. The main factor of this being weight gain, so i’ve bitten the bullet and decided to join the local gym. I’ve been going a week now and I’ve got to admit i’m not all that good. But every time I’ve been I’ve made little achievements – going on a treadmill for the first time, actually running on the treadmill and yesterday I managed to run on the treadmill for the longest time so far, and even though I really couldn’t be bothered to go last night I still pushed myself. These little achievements are helping me keep motivated and hopefully will help me get back into shape and feel a little better about myself.
