Adult friendships and finding your tribe

I’ve spoken previously about friendships, introversion and about how I sometimes struggle with finding the confidence to approach people and start friendships. The post in question I wrote back in 2016 when I was really struggling with not feeling like I belonged. Fast forward two years and I’m in a much better much happier place. So what’s changed? I think overall I’ve just become happier in myself. I’ve struggled over the past few years with issues with, self-confidence and generally not feeling comfortable with my body. This can have a huge effect on lots of different things. In the past, I’ve…

Embracing Colour and How I Found My Personal Style.

I am here today to talk about personal style. Now, this is something I’ve struggled with a lot over recent years – I feel this has mostly been down to some issues I’ve had regarding weight gain. But I also think spending a large amount of time on social media doesn’t help, you’re constantly bombarded with images of incredibly stylish bloggers who look incredible meanwhile, you’re sat on your sofa at 11.30 on a Friday morning with unwashed hair, wearing Pokemon pyjamas that you probably should have ironed. WINTER WARMERS: MY TOP PICKS FROM THE HIGH STREET

Jacket: Zara   Jumper: Primark    Jeans: Topshop     Boots: Marks and Spencers  Handbag: Charity Shop Warm coats, colourful jumpers and knitted scarves are my favourite part of autumn and winter. Jewellery Box: Finding affordable silver jewellery pieces [AD]

Now I’m the type of person who when it comes to jewellery it’s all or nothing. I either have really big bold statement necklaces and earrings, or super small and dainty jewellery. It’s rare I go for anything that’s kind of in the middle. So when Jewellery box got in touch asking if I’d like to try some of their pieces I thought this would be a great chance to try something different. But typical me I opted for my usual dainty bits of silver jewellery as they had so many beautiful pieces it was daft to choose anything different.…

Feeling Fuchsia: Finally embracing colour in my wardrobe

These photos were taken by Yasmina on our recent trip to Liverpool for the CarnLIVal event. We were a little early for the event so decided to take advantage of the gorgeous Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Hope Street. I must say this is probably the most public place I’ve ever taken photos as I usually hide down a quiet side street. But I really pushed myself to stand in the middle of a fairly busy street of an unknown city and I really think they paid off! Top: Primark (similar) Trousers: New Look Shoes: Matalan Handbag: Primark (similar) Watch – Rosefield* I think these…
